Pin Christopher
Pin Christopher is made after St. Christopher or Christopher and is a saint in the Roman Catholic Church and Eastern Orthodox Churches. Christopher is considered an important saint who was and is venerated in many countries and periods. His name day is July 24. However, in 1969 he was removed from the Calendar of Saints by the Vatican.
Saint Christopher is also the patron saint of the traveler. As patron saint, he serves as a travel protector for all road users.
He may still be venerated as a local saint. In the Orthodox Church, his feast day falls on May 9. In Eastern Orthodox tradition he was often depicted as a giant with a dog's head.
In the city of Roermond, the celebration of St. Christopher is a high feast.
